A 37-year-old Braddon womanappeared in court via a bedside hearing today after allegedly stabbing a manon Monday.
About3.30amon Monday(5January 2026),the womanand a man known to her were in her residence on Lowanna Street, Braddon. Sheisallegedto havetaken asteakknifefromherkitchenandstabbedthemanmultiple times.
Police were calledandarrivedattheunit complexashort timelater,where theylocatedthe manoutsidebleedingheavily.Policerenderedfirst aid until ACTAmbulanceServiceparamedics arrivedand transported him to hospital.
Officerslocatedthe womaninside the unitandplaced her underarrest.
She was transported to the ACT Watchhouseandappeared remotely in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 7 January 2026)charged withattemptedmurder.
