BRISBANE, Queensland, Jan. 14 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:
Update: The 85-year-old man reported missing from Proston today, January 14 has been located deceased following a search.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious, and police will prepare a report for the coroner.

Earlier: A search and rescue operation has commenced this afternoon to locate an 85-year-old man missing from Proston since this morning, January 14.
The man was last seen on a property on Okeden Road, at about 9:30am, and has not been seen or heard from since.
Police and family have serious concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition which requires medication.
The man is believed to be last seen wearing a felt hat, black shorts and blue shirt.
Residents are urged to check their properties, structures, boats, cars, and trailers for signs of the man.
Anyone with information regarding the man's whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
