Belconnen, ACT, Feb. 7 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
Three people will face court this morning following family violence incidents across the ACTin the past 24 hours.
At lunchtime yesterday(Friday, 6 February 2026), a 20-year-old Richardson man allegedly verbally abused his partnerand made threats to her after throwing furniture in their residence.
He was charged with affray and recklessly threatening to inflict grievous bodilyharm.
Last night a 21-year-old Bonner woman allegedlyslappedand headbutted her partner before allegedlyassaultinganother personwho intervened.
She was charged with aggravated common assault, aggravated assaultoccasioningactualbodily harm, and commonassault.
Also,last night a 36-year-oldSymonstonmanallegedly punched andattemptedto strangle his partnerfollowingan argument.
He was charged with aggravated common assault, and two counts of chokes/suffocates/strangles another person.
The two men and a woman were all arrested, transported to the ACTWatchHouse and are expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 7 February 2026).
