Belconnen, ACT, Sept. 16 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
Three people have been charged with burglary and driving a motor vehicle without consent after allegedly stealing a BMW from a Lawson home yesterday morning.
In the early hours of yesterday, (Monday, 15 September 2025), three people, including two teenagers, arrived at a Lawson residence in a white Mazda, which was previously reported as stolen.
Police will allege that the three people entered the Lawson household, and took the keys to a silver BMW vehicle, which was subsequently stolen from that residence.
Later that morning, police attended the Lawson residence, and seized the white Mazda that had been left there.
Following investigations, police attended the residence of one of the alleged offenders in the Gungahlin district and located the stolen BMW, which was later subject to forensic analysis.
A search warrant was executed later that afternoon at that residence, which resulted in the arrest of the three alleged offenders.
The woman, and two teenagers were charged with riding/driving motor vehicle without consent, aggravated burglary, joint commission take motor vehicle without consent and theft and appeared in court today (Tuesday, 16 September 2025). The two teenagers were remanded in custody, and the woman has been released on bail.
