CANBERRA, ACT, July 24 -- Australian Federal Police issued the following media release:

A South Sudan-born man is set to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (24 July, 2025) charged with allegedly failing to comply with his visa-mandated curfew conditions.

The AFP charged the man, 31, yesterday (23 July, 2025), after he was located in Sydney.

It will be alleged the man breached one of the conditions of his Commonwealth visa by failing to observe his residential curfew obligations.

The man has been charged with seven counts of failing to comply with a curfew condition, contrary to section 76C(1) of the Migration Act 1958 (Cth).

These offences carry a maximum penalty of five years' imprisonment and/or a $99,000 fine for each offence.
