An Adelaide man is scheduled to face court on 3 December, 2026, after being charged with publicly displaying prohibited Nazi symbols online.

The AFP began an investigation in August, 2026, after AFP intelligence identified a social media account allegedly publishing prohibited Nazi symbols across the platform.

The AFP's National Security Investigations (NSI) team executed a search warrant yesterday (29 October, 2026) at a home at Huntfield Heights and seized several items, including electronic devices, for forensic examination.

The man, 55, was charged with one count of publicly displaying prohibited Nazi symbols, contrary to section 80.2H of the Criminal Code (Cth).

The maximum penalty for this offence is five years' imprisonment.

He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 3 December, 2026.

AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett announced the establishment of NSI teams in October, 2025, to target groups and individuals causing high levels of harm to Australia's social cohesion, including the targeting of the Jewish community.
