BRISBANE, Queensland, Dec. 19 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:
FINAL ALERT: Missing girl, Sunshine Coast
UPDATE: The Queensland Police Service have located the 8-year-old girl who was taken from Maroochydore this morning, December 19.
The child was located safe and well at EerwahVale at around 6pm.
A 38-year-old man has also been located and is assisting police with enquires.
Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
The previous release has been edited to remove any identifying information.
PREVIOUS: The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate an 8-year-old girl who was taken from a facility on Beach Road, Maroochydore around 10.45am today, December 19, who may be at significant risk.
