Belconnen, ACT, Oct. 28 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
A 37-year-oldGreenway man has been charged with family violence offences after he allegedly assaultedhis wife and childlast night.
About 6.00pm yesterday (Monday 27 October 2025) the 37-year-old manallegedlyassaultedhis wife.
Theirchildallegedlywitnessedtheincidentandattemptedtointervene.The man hasthen allegedlyphysicallyassaultedthe childas well asthreateningtostrangle andkill her.
The wife intervened andthe man allegedly continuedto assaultthe woman.
Later that evening police attended the residence and placed the man under arrest.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with three counts of aggravated common assault,, two counts of aggravated reckless threat to kill a person, one count of aggravated reckless threat to inflict Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), two counts of aggravated assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm(ABH)and one count of chokes, suffocates, strangles another person
