Belconnen, ACT, Aug. 14 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
A 45-year-old Greenway man will face court today charged with drug trafficking offences after search warrants were executed in Greenway and Duffy yesterday.
In April (2025), officers from Tuggeranong Police Station began an investigation into the man's alleged involvement in drug trafficking and participating in a criminal group in the ACT.
Yesterday (Wednesday, 13 August 2025), officers executed search warrants on a vehicle and at residences in Greenway and Duffy where police seized:
* Ammunition* Knuckle dusters* Drug paraphernalia* Prescription drugs* Approximately 28.5 grams of methylamphetamines* Approximately 27.5 grams of heroin* Approximately $860* Paperwork believed to track his drug sales
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $30,000.
Police will allege the man has an ongoing customer base who rely on his supply of drugs.
The man - who was subject to good behaviour obligations from previous court convictions - was charged with two counts of drug trafficking, possessing a prohibited weapon, possession of ammunition, possessions of a declared substance without authorisiation and possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime.
He is expected to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 14 August 2025).
