BRISBANE, Queensland, Jan. 12 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:

A 69-year-old man reported missing from Toowoomba yesterday has been located safe and well.

Police would like to thank media and members of the public for their assistance.

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a 69-year-old man missing from Toowoomba.

The man was last seen travelling on foot along Cavell Street in East Toowoomba at approximately 10am today, January 12.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Police have serious concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition which causes extreme confusion.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall with a proportionate build, a grey beard, and grey hair.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown long-sleeve polo shirt, black runners and brown Akubra hat.

Police believe he may be travelling on foot in the North Toowoomba, Queens Park, North Point or Prince Henry Heights areas; nearby residents are urged to check their properties.

Anyone who has seen the man is asked to immediately contact police.
