Belconnen, ACT, Feb. 9 -- ACT Policing issued the following media release:
A 29-year-old man will face court todayafterallegedlyassaultinghis partner,possessinga tactical stungunandpossessingdrugs.
About2:10pm yesterday (8 February 2026) policereceivedinformation that a woman had been assaulted at a residence inKambahby her partner.
Police arrived at the residencea short timelaterand spoke with twowomen, but the man had left the scene.
About 11:50pm the same day the man waslocatedat an apartment complex inKambahwhere he wassubsequentlyarrested.
Police searchedthe manlocatinga tactical stun gun taserand35grams ofa crystalline substancebelieved to be methamphetamine.
The man,who is subject to goodbehaviourobligations,is facing the ACT MagistratesCourt today charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated common assault, traffickinga controlled drugandpossessinga prohibited weapon.
