BRISBANE, Queensland, Oct. 10 -- Queensland Police Service issued the following media release:

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Apple Tree Creek this morning, 10 October.

Initial investigations indicate that just before 2.00am, a Volvo Prime Mover truck was travelling northbound on the Bruce Highway when it collided with a White Mazda CX-5 and a White Toyota Hilux both travelling in the southbound direction.

The passenger of the Mazda, a 14-year-old Brunswick Heads girl was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda, a 22-year-old a Sarina woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The driver of the Toyota a 22-year-old Sarina man was not physically injured.

The driver of the Prime Mover a 31-year-old Park Ridge man was also not physically injured.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with further information or relevant footage to contact police.
