Office hours for the AFP National Media Team over the Christmas and New Year period are:
* From 2pm AEDT today (Wednesday, 24 December, 2025) to Thursday, 1 January, 2026: office closed.* Friday, 2 January 2026: office reopens.
An on-call media officer will be available to take enquiries for urgent matters only on the days the office is closed. They can be contacted via the media hotline on (02) 5126 9297.
The AFP National Media Team will post media releases on the AFP website in relation to operational activity during this period, where appropriate.
We would like to thank media for your continued support throughout 2025 and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.
