India, June 14 -- In a field where precision meets creativity and edible art pushes the boundaries of imagination, Tina Scott Parashar has emerged as one of India’s most recognised names on the global cake art stage. A celebrated cake artist and founder of the India & International Cake Magazine, Tina has not only put Indian cake art on the world map, but redefined how the global industry perceives events, awards, and recognition.

Earlier this year, she made industry history by launching the India & International Cake Magazine Awards (IICMA) — the first global cake awards to be held in India. The event, hosted in Delhi on April 11, 2025, brought together some of the finest names in cake art from across the world. With international artists in attendance, dramatic performances, and high-end production, the IICMAs are now being talked about as the most grand, theatrical, and visually spectacular cake awards ever hosted anywhere in the world.

“This is the first time so many international artists have gathered in India for a cake awards event,” Tina said. “It’s about time India hosted something of this scale to honour global talent — and to show the world what we’re capable of.”

What set the IICMAs apart was their clear focus on merit and fair recognition. Designed to bring both Indian and international talent onto the same platform, the awards featured a global jury panel made up of some of the most respected and established names in the cake world.

Tina’s contributions to the sugarcraft world have earned her several major accolades. Most notably, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the D’licious Magazine Awards in the UK — the industry’s highest honour. She is the first and only Indian, and the youngest artist, to receive this recognition, which celebrates her art and the impact she’s had in promoting Indian talent on the global stage.

In 2022, she was invited as the Chief Guest of Honour at the Cake Artist World Awards in Moscow, where she received the Exceptional Achievements in Edible Art Award.

Tina’s career includes a series of high-profile milestones. She was recognised among the Top 10 Cake Artists in India for two consecutive years and also received the Best Collaboration Award in the UK. She showcased life-size edible installations at Cake International in Birmingham — featured at the main entrance in both 2019 and 2022 — which went viral and drew widespread media coverage.

As a regular judge at Cake International, the world’s largest cake show and competition, Tina is already a familiar name to international audiences. She has also judged for several prestigious global platforms including FIPGC, the Polish Cake Designers Championship by Expo Sweet, and other big platforms like Cake Artist World (Russia), Serdar Yener, CakeFlix, Saracino International Competitions, among others. Her judging portfolio now spans multiple continents and close to a decade of experience.

Despite her global presence, Tina remains committed to the Indian cake community. Through her magazine — now followed by over 85,000 cake artists and enthusiasts on social media — she continues to mentor, feature, and uplift emerging Indian talent. She also serves as the Official India Representative for Cake International, helping bridge Indian artistry with international platforms.

With several gold medals, international awards, and industry-firsts to her credit, Tina Scott Parashar has not only raised the bar for cake artistry in India — she’s become a global name reshaping how the world sees edible art.
